Cats

Cats that go outside need to be vaccinated against leukaemia virus as well as both types of flu & feline enteritis. Cats that remain as indoor pets only need to be vaccinated against flu & enteritis.

In either case, we recommend that vaccines are started at 9 weeks of age onwards, with a second vaccination being given 3weeks after the first vaccine.
After the initial vaccine course we currently recommend a yearly booster vaccination.

Cats require routine flea and worm treatment, and we are very happy to discuss your pets individual requirements with you. Please telephone the surgery or call in to discuss this with one of our veterinary nurses.

We can neuter cats from 12 weeks of age, and are happy to neuter cats from the same household together, as this is often easier for you the owner and your pet.
