Ferrets that go to shows or are walked in public areas (or that live in gardens foxes may walk through) should be vaccinated against distemper. Other ferrets may not need this.
Now that we do not recommend surgical neutering where possible, all ferrets require some form of hormonal control. In general we recommend two-yearly hormone implants. However, other options exist and we are happy to discuss.
Ferrets do not routinely need parasite control except in special circumstances.
